311/iPhone ver 1.0
Government 311 is an iPhone application built using ESRI’s ArcGIS iPhone SDK. It
allows users to exploit some of the core features of ArcGIS 10 through the iPhone.
Using this application, citizens can submit request for service in their neighborhood.
Citizens can report issues such as pothole, graffiti, trash, traffic, construction
and others. These incident types are configurable. The app provides facility to
use your current location or report an incident by entering an address or simply
by touching the map at desired location. Citizens can also view all issues in their
neighbourhood. While creating an issue, citizens can add a brief description and
attach photos. Citizens can also post comments, which can be viewed by other users
as well. Service administrators can then work on the issue and send updates which
can be received upon subscription via Twitter or e-mail.
